Welcome to SpeakUP

‘SpeakUP: Building skills and confidence for participation at school’ is a short-term online program available to students aged 7-16 years with a disability, with or without an NDIS plan, enrolled in any mainstream school in NSW, ACT, QLD or VIC. 

The focus of SpeakUP is on increasing the young person’s capacity and confidence to identify, express and achieve a goal that will lead to greater participation at school. Examples of goals include ordering lunch from the canteen, attending excursions with classmates, playing handball with peers at lunchtime. We will also work with an ally of the young person, such as a parent or carer, building their capacity to support the young person to speak up.
